Return Your Comcast Cable Telephone and Internet Equipment

Comcast customers who have Comcast cable, telephone, or internet equipment that needs to be returned can visit the Equipment Recovery Services website for direction on how to properly return this equipment.  This pertains to customers who have recently received their upgraded equipment or for customers who may have non-working equipment.  The internet site simplifies the return process for customers who need a return kit, want to know the nearest Comcast location to drop off their equipment, or for those who want to check on the status of their returned items to ensure they are properly accounted for.

Most customers are unaware of the Equipment Recovery Services site until they receive a notice in the mail about the online services provided at the site.  When you first receive the letter about returning your old Comcast equipment items please take note of the 11 digit reference number that is highlighted.  It is needed when you visit the website to properly access your account and your equipment so it is accounted for from the beginning of the return process until it has been accounted for at the end.

Comcast customers who have recently upgraded their equipment but still have the old equipment need to be sure and return that equipment.  If you do not return the equipment in a certain amount of time you could be charged additional non-return fees.  This is why customers who have received upgraded equipment should return their old equipment ASAP.  All the instructions have been simplified for you at the Equipment Recovery Services website.

  1. I scheduled a pick up of equipment when i had mt cable shut off and no one ever came. I went on vacation for the last 3 weeks and just received a notice in the mail that this is overdue.

  2. I received a return of equipment from you today. I had a security system removed, and the tech picked up everything I had at the time. I do not a 1-touchpad. Serial # 9C9726EFCODD.

  3. Spent hours on phone n kept getting cut off n was finally told to just return equip where I had gotten it. Drove to comcast store where I returned my equip to their office where the couple “working” there were too busy texting on their cells n told me to dump equip in bin outside, which was overflowing w cable equip onto the ground. Re entered “office” and once again interrupted them n they said just put it on the counter which I did -about a month ago. Today I get a notice I have not returned my equipment. Will never use comcast for anything again. Tired of their BS.

  6. We were never told the equipment had to be returned and we paid over $300 because they weren’t returned so the case should be closed; plus our daughter wrote to the Better Business Bureau about this and they sent them a complaint. We would like to not hear from you again.

Received 2nd notice from ERS, sent back for second time, this equipment is still in use- still have Comcast Internet service; thus should not be returned and we should not be bugged about it, especially we told you this more than a Month ago.     This equipment has been returned but I wasn’t asked to sign anything at the time nor did they give me any receipt for the modum and cable box/remotes.

  12. We returned the equipment (cable boxes, remotes and router) to the UPS store in Edgewater, MD months ago. I told that to a company representative who contacted us several weeks ago!!!
