Employees of Carefirst can utilize the Associates page on the Carefirst website to gain remote access to the Virtual Workplace. Concerning the Virtual Workplace there are several Carefirst applications available for employees which will remotely direct link them to the appropriate online portals to access their email, online meetings, web scheduler, or Citrix access.
New hires of CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield are also directed to the site when they are first hired to get them started through their New Associate Orientation. There is a welcome page that offers information on how the orientation process works as well as a brief video from the CEO and President of CareFirst. Please review each page of the website to ensure you know the time of your orientation, dress code, have the appropriate forms, understand the orientation agenda, know exactly where your orientation will take place, etc. All of this information is available on the site for you to see.
Associates who are trying to access any of the CareFirst Applications should already know their login credentials. You will need to have your own username and password to logon and if you experience problems you can visit the help sections of the site or contact your Service Desk for assistance. Your IT Department will be able to assist and correct any technical problems you may be experiencing.
Mobile devices can also be configured to access any of the CareFirst Citrix applications. You will need to use the Citrix Receiver app in order to get started. A download for the app is available for the iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile device on the website.
