Here is a brief guide to receiving your 20% discount when using your Banana Republics card for the very first time:

• Valid only at Banana Republic or GAP stores
• Open a Banana Republic Rewards account
• On your first purchase your BRR card must be used solely as payment
• If new account is opened in a Banana Republic store, discount will be applied to first purchase in store made same day
• If new account is opened at bananarepublic.gap.com, discount code expires at 11:59pm PT 14 days from date of account open
